Neuropsychological Evaluation (Standard): Comprehensive assessment of brain functioning to address known brain illness or injury or suspected conditions (e.g. dementia), for the purposes of diagnosis, establishment of a sensitive cognitive baseline, and tailored recommendations to meet specific needs. Includes review of medical records, in-depth clinical interviewing and history-taking, formal assessment (i.e. testing of cognitive functioning and behavioral variables), subsequent follow-up session to review the findings in detail, and additional optional services (e.g. optional follow-up "telephone visits" in the months following the evaluation to discuss any lingering concerns, access to our Neuropsychology Lending Library filled with resources for those concerned with brain injury, stroke, dementia, and other neurological or related conditions).

Neuropsychological Evaluation (65 and over): Comprehensive assessment of brain functioning tailored to those 65 and older, to address known brain illness or injury, or suspected conditions (e.g. dementia), for the purposes of diagnosis, establishment of a sensitive cognitive baseline, and tailored recommendations to meet specific needs. The process of quite similar to the Standard Neuropsychological Evaluation (e.g. includes review of medical records, in-depth clinical interviewing and history-taking, formal assessment, and subsequent follow-up sessions to review the findings in detail, with additional optional services (see above), although with specific focus on the unique needs of those 65 and older, and with a somewhat more economical cost.

Neuropsychology Consult: In-depth clinical interviewing and review of relevant medical records, for the purposes of gathering relevant information to address concerns related to brain conditions, including illness or injury. Essentially, this is the first step of a Neuropsychological Evaluation. Professional expertise is provided to both address relevant concerns, and to provide input on the potential benefits of pursuing a comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluation or not, for the specific situation. If the decision is made to pursue a Neuropsychological Evaluation within 6 weeks of the Neuropsychology Consult, the cost of the Neuropsychological Evaluation is reduced.

Brain Health Optimization Consult: In-depth clinical interviewing and review of relevant medical records, for those with interest in taking an inventory of their current situation (e.g. factors that affect brain health, including physical health, eating habits, activity level, emotional health, and other important dimensions of brain health), for the purposes of creating a personal action plan for improved brain health. Professional expertise is provided to assist with crafting a personal action plan, as well as to address the need for referral to other professional services and/or activities that may promote improved brain health. The focus of this service is on a general interest in brain health, and not specific concerns related to medical diagnoses (for this, one may want to review the Neuropsychology Consult, or Neuropsychological Evaluation).
